‘Ukraine will prevail,’ Biden tells Zelensky after pledging $8 billion in military aid to Kyiv
US President Joe Biden on Thursday told his Ukrainian counterpart Volodymyr Zelensky that “Ukraine will prevail” after pledging nearly $8 billion in military aid and long-range munitions to help Kyiv fight Russian forces. Biden, who has less than four months left in office, is trying to secure as much US support for Ukraine as he can amid a tight presidential race between Democrat Kamala Harris and Republican Donald Trump.
