The Atlantic reports that in 2020, then president Donald Trump said to two people in a private conversation at The White House: "I need the kind of generals that Hitler had." Trump's former chief of staff John Kelly has also been quoted by The Atlantic and The New York Times, claiming that the former president made positive comments about Hitler in their interactions.
