US-Ukraine minerals deal outlines plans for joint-fund, but vague on 'security guarantees'
The latest draft of US-Ukraine minerals deal is a revised agreement that would see the two countries create a joint fund to invest revenue from Ukraine's mineral resources, but stops short of offering Ukraine outright security guarantees."The words 'security guarantee' are in there, but in a very vague form that is open to interpretation" says FRANCE 24's international affairs commentator, Douglas Herbert.
