UN biodiversity summit kicks off with call for significant funding
The world's largest nature protection conference opened in Colombia Monday. UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres called for urgent action and investment in the Global Biodiversity Framework Fund (GBFF), established last year. He urged countries to increase commitments and mobilize public and private finance to address biodiversity loss.
