Trump rally shooting aftermath: ‘It could go two different ways’
Former US president Donald Trump's reaction to an apparent assassination attempt at a campaign rally Saturday could have huge sway over the narrative surrounding the incident, Former pentagon advisor Jasmine El-Gamal told FRANCE 24. "It could go two different ways, one could hope that his address at the RNC – Republican National Convention – that Donald Trump would say 'look, I am also guilty of this, we have been using divisive, political rhetoric for way too long, it's brought us to a really dark place, we have four more months and we cannot continue like this' and to pledge to do better," El-Gamal said.
