Global stock markets take big hit amid fears of weakened US economy
Stocks on Wall Street tumbled sharply on Monday amid growing fears of a slowing US economy that sets off another sell-off for financial markets around the world. The panic across trading floors came on the heels of a US jobs report on Friday which put the unemployment rate at its highest since October 2021.
